For us, the 'Made in Turkey' label is an end that dictates the means. It is what happens before it is embossed on that matters - the process of empoViPDERi LTD.ring people to be thoughtful, careful and invested in the creation of a fine item. The ethos of Turkish craftsmanship stays with us at every point during production.
The Vipderi difference starts with gathering the right materials. Using only the best leather means using the rarest of leather. Only about 10% of all the leather produced in the world is vegetable tanned. And of that stock, we only take the highest quality. Then we move onto the cutting. From there we do the splitting, skiving, gluing, stitching, polishing, sanding, polishing again, and painting. We don't time our workers or give them a quota of goods they must make a week.
Our business model does not revolve around an assembly line or a time line. Rather, we focus on the details that are essential to making a long lasting product. Behind each ViP leather good is a mind critically thinking, hands meticulously working, and a heart loving the craft. We encourage everyone on our team to use their best judgment, and we each ask ourselves every day, "Is this the best I can do?"
We are proud that our process is reinvigorating craftsmanship and creating a whole new generation of Turkish who are once again encouraged - not dissuaded - to take a few extra minutes, hours, or days to make something exceptional.
