Jennersdorf in Austria's Burgenland is Vossen's launch pad for penetrating new markets. The weaving mill and dyeing plant, which were refitted and modernised in 2003 for EUR 6.9 m, produce high-grade terry towelling around to clock to soothe the skin and pamper the owner. Handtowels, shower and bathtowels, beach towels, bathrobes, sauna wraps and bathrugs.

The state-of-the-art computer controlled looms also enable Vossen to meet the requirements of customers in the hotel trade and B2B customers in terms of individually designed terry.

At Vossen, service is a key part of the company philosophy. Large-scale marketing activities, sport sponsorships and POS Activities support the successful sale of the products by retailers as do the tailor-made shop-in-shop concepts, which ensure attractive product displays.

The company originally founded in Guetersloh, Germany, in 1925 by Burghardt Vossen is the best-known terry towelling brand in Germany and Austria and enabled terry towelling, hitherto an exclusive luxury product, to become a household requirement by the 1990's. Since its acquisition in 1996 by an Austrian equity investment group, Vossen - now based in Jennersdorf - has been able to continue its success story as a lifestyle brand name.
